On Sunday the 29'th of May 2011 I woke up with a burning desire to start a new challenge, one which would once and for all lay to rest the 'myths' that many people believe regarding starting a business. I would prove that it took no money, database or risk in order to start a new business from scratch and turn it into a very successful business within 2 years. I wanted to share a part of my journal entry of this morning with you…

29^th May 2011 – Sunday

This morning I woke at 1:45 and as usual my mind was bursting with ideas.

Is it possible to start a new business with:

only one prospect (potential client or potential affiliate – someone that I have never actually met)
no money,
no security,
no risk and
not using the banks or other people’s money?

And then to create a new database of more than 5000 people, from the one contact (prospect) in less than 6 months without it costing me a cent by applying the Wealth Creators Marketing Strategy™ and Formula For Riches™ (Cannot add my existing clients to the new data base)

Then to grow this business from a level 1 to level 7 business in less than two years by applying the Wealth Creators Strategy™ - (where a level one is only an idea and level 7 is a business which gives you financial freedom and you do not have to work in it).

In other words – is it possible to take an idea or concept, invest no money in it (not my own or the banks or any financial institution or any other persons money) and turn the idea into a business in less than 2 months (in other words get my first sale, and generate income) by following the Wealth Creators Business Strategy™. Then by applying the Formula For Riches^® to grow the business to be worth more than $120,000.00 in less than 6 months and then to apply the Accelerator Principle™ to generate more than $1,000,000.00 in revenue within the first year?

Oops – I crashed my friend’s plane

I started a new hobby.

Within 3 minutes I had my first crash – luckily I survived it because I applied the Formula For Riches^®.

My children recorded the crash and then put it on YouTube for all to see – they even added some special effects to make it even more spectacular. (Not that it was not spectacular enough when it happened.)

Self Discipline, Effectively Being in Control of Yourself

This is one of the concepts which I teach my students on the Master Key Program very early on in the program as it is on this one fundamental ability to say “No” to yourself at the correct time that many success stories find their foundation. If you are able to determine what is detrimental to the greater good of yourself and those around you and go against it effectively by saying “No” to yourself, you will be taking a big step in the direction of a life of abundance and happiness.

The moment you are able to allow your own self disciple to work for you, the sooner you will start to become stronger, wiser and more efficient in everything which you choose to do. There are many benefits to making a concerted effort to become more self disciplined and some of them include:

You get more done – When one is self disciplined, you will be more effective at recognizing what is most important and giving it your primary focus, as I always teach my Wealth Creators Mentorship Students, disciple yourself into making a list of the most important things which you can do for the day so as to be able to realize your goals and focus your attention on them one by one in order of importance. This way, even if you only get one thing done for the day, at least you will know that it is the one thing which will have the greatest effect on helping you to achieve your goal.
You achieve goals and realize dreams easier – The realization of the goals and dreams which we have very often depends on us to put in extra effort, time, money or energy and a good self discipline helps us to stay on track as far as achieving these goals and dreams is concerned and often helps to keep us motivated and stops us from straying off the path to our dreams.

Overcoming Fear so as to be Free

How many people realize the negative effects which they will have due to allowing the fear of the unknown to restrict their growth as a person in all areas of their lives? Overcoming fear of the unknown is probably one of the most liberating experiences any one person can have.

Now please don’t misunderstand me here, being afraid of something which you know could be life threatening to you is natural and this is what is known as realistic fear, it is good to have as it keeps us from doing things or getting into situations which could harm us or even kill us. However it is the fear of the unknown which tends to suppress us from reaching our full potential and being the best that we can be.

There is an old saying which says, “There is nothing to fear but fear itself!” but our human nature teaches us to handle fear differently. By nature we tend to fear that which we do not understand or have much knowledge about and thus the saying “Ignorance breeds fear” and there has never been a more accurate statement.

We are actually conditioned to fear making mistakes as well and this conditioning begins with our school years, where we are taught that unless something is done in a certain way, we will get a cross and our answer is wrong. We are not however taught to begin to think for ourselves and if the answer we give is not the one in the text book, then it is wrong.

All of these factors play a role in our developing a fear of the unknown and it is this fear that will very often hold us back because when we are ignorant and do not know for sure that we are taking the correct action, we rather choose to take no action what so ever as we are afraid of being wrong.

So how should one effectively go about overcoming fear of the unknown, well it is really self explanatory, if what you fear the unknown, take the time to invest in yourself and to learn everything there is about your fear as then it will no longer be the unknown.

I take for instance, a few years back I knew nothing about web design, I was however aware that there were a lot of people making money on the internet. Did I choose to let my fear of the unknown hold me back from using this investment vehicle, NO! I now run many internet businesses and in fact have the Build a Web site which teaches people how to bypass all the jargon of internet design and effectively teaches them how to build a fully functional website in a very short period of time for FREE.

What we need to begin to understand is that it is our fear which stops us fro taking action and that it is ignorance which causes our fear of the unknown, so in order to be able to overcome the fear so as to be able to take action, we need to get rid of the ignorance and the only way I know that you will be able to do this is by investing in yourself by learning about your fear so that it can no longer hold you back from taking action.

Here are a few tips as to how you might choose to begin to overcome fear and the negative impact which it has on your life:

Know your enemy – It is essential that you begin by taking the time to find out what is causing the fear or in fact simply what the fear is. Fears can be caused by any number of things such as childhood experiences, misconceived perceptions, bad experiences and even more often than not just plain ignorance.

Please do not begin to dwell on your fears, rather concentrate your energy on being able to determine what they actually are. For instance if you are afraid to make a decision because you might be wrong, recognize this and begin to look for reasons why you have this fear.

Search for the actual root of your fear – Once you are aware of what your fears are, it is time to start looking for the causes of these fears, examine your own life and try to find out what might be the root cause of this fear. The easiest way is to examine what emotions or situations trigger this fear and then for you to look for the first time you felt this way. If you are able to find the cause of your fear, you will be far closer to being able to overcome fear and the effects which you allow it to have over you.

Face your fear – Facing your fear is probably one of the only ways by which you will be able to overcome it. Take the time to find out what your fear is, what you believe is causing this fear and then do everything in your power to learn as much as possible about the fear so as to be able to overcome it.

As a Wealth Creator, there is no way I will allow fear to dictate my decisions in life and if you are willing to apply the Kaizen Principle when you approach your fears, very soon you will find that by taking it one step at a time in a positive direction you will soon realize that the fears which you might have had could have been what was holding you back from achieving your goals and dreams your whole life.

The moment we take the time to invest in ourselves, we begin to free ourselves and we are able to start overcoming fear and the hold it has over us which is often all that stands between us and a life of abundance and harmony, the life of a Wealth Creator.

How to Choose the Correct Mentor

Many people are convinced they are looking for a mentor but in actual fact what they are looking for is a coach, now you might be asking yourself, well what is the difference? Believe me when I tell you that there is a vast difference. When one is looking for a mentor in what ever area of life it might be, you are looking for someone who has mastered and practices on a daily basis what it is that you wish to achieve.

A coach on the other hand is someone who has an interest in the field and is willing to guide you as to becoming your best in the field even if they have never actually excelled in the field themselves, they are there to keep you on track. They will constantly correct your mistakes for you and try to teach you how to improve on what ever area it is you are receiving the coaching on.

The mentor on the other hand will allow you to observe what it is that they do so as to succeed in this area but will not actually correct your mistakes for you, but rather give you insight into how you can improve on your own so as to be more successful.

Both of these are very effective ways for you to reach the goal which you have in mind, but when one is shown the correct way to do something but still left to make your own mistakes in your learning process, the end result is often very different and when you learn from your own mistakes, it is often a lesson which you will never forget.

You need to understand that if you successfully choose the correct mentor, they will allow you to observe what it is that they do and how they do it so as for you to learn how to make this practice your own and allow it to be as beneficial to you as it was for them. In my Alchemist Mentorship Program, I effectively show my students exactly what I do in order to be a Wealth Creator, however, how they choose to use what I am showing them is completely their own decision and this is what makes it a mentorship program and not a coaching program.

If my students decide to do things which are not part of the program, they must be willing to accept responsibility for their actions and realize that they truly are the owner of the results which they receive, whether they are positive or negative, due to their own actions, if I were a coach, I would have immediately told them they are deviating from the coaching program and at the end of the day they would not have learned how to be accountable for their own decisions and actions.

So how does one then go about choosing the correct mentor so as to grow in whatever area of our lives it is that we feel we could improve on? Firstly, you need to know what it is which you wish to achieve by having a mentor, once you have been able to do this, you will need to start looking around for someone who possesses these qualities and whom you feel you could learn from.

Ideally this person or potential mentor should be someone who epitomizes your idea of success, has a positive attitude and is willing to openly share their knowledge in the area of your interests with you. If you are able to find such an individual, chances are you have found a potential mentor.

But how should one approach this potential mentor so as to convince them that you are serious about learning from their knowledge and that they would not be simply wasting their time by allowing you to feed of their knowledge?

Many times the person who has been qualified by you as a potential mentor will want to know why it is that they should share their knowledge with you, so it is often a good idea to have concrete reasons and plans in place so as to be able to show them you are serious about the whole thing and in this way you will be able to begin to establish a relationship of trust and your plans will show them exactly what it is which you want to give and receive from the relationship.

It is essential that you are very clear as to what it is you wish to learn right from the beginning and that your communication is as upfront as possible, in this way you can avoid disappointment and miscommunication which might occur if your mentor is not aware of exactly what it is you wish to achieve.

The secret to it all is the fact that a successful mentorship begins with you, once you have established a relationship with your mentor it is essential that you communicate your needs to them so as to let them clearly understand what direction they should lead you in so as for you to achieve your goals.

Very often the only thing which a good mentor will seek in return is your commitment and the reward of seeing you apply what you have learned in a way that will help you to achieve your goal, be sure that the mentor which you choose is willing to take your concerns earnestly and is willing to point you in the right direction so that you can become the best that you can possibly be in the area of your life which they are mentoring you in.

Always remember though, to actually reap the rewards of having an effective mentor, you will need to have commitment on your side to put in the required time, effort and investment so as to be able to actually pick the fruits of your labor, without this no mentor or for that matter coach in the world will be able to help you as you have not taken the time to invest in yourself so as to be the best that you can be.
