Many people are convinced they are looking for a mentor but in actual fact what they are looking for is a coach, now you might be asking yourself, well what is the difference? Believe me when I tell you that there is a vast difference. When one is looking for a mentor in what ever area of life it might be, you are looking for someone who has mastered and practices on a daily basis what it is that you wish to achieve.

A coach on the other hand is someone who has an interest in the field and is willing to guide you as to becoming your best in the field even if they have never actually excelled in the field themselves, they are there to keep you on track. They will constantly correct your mistakes for you and try to teach you how to improve on what ever area it is you are receiving the coaching on.

The mentor on the other hand will allow you to observe what it is that they do so as to succeed in this area but will not actually correct your mistakes for you, but rather give you insight into how you can improve on your own so as to be more successful.

Both of these are very effective ways for you to reach the goal which you have in mind, but when one is shown the correct way to do something but still left to make your own mistakes in your learning process, the end result is often very different and when you learn from your own mistakes, it is often a lesson which you will never forget.

You need to understand that if you successfully choose the correct mentor, they will allow you to observe what it is that they do and how they do it so as for you to learn how to make this practice your own and allow it to be as beneficial to you as it was for them. In my Alchemist Mentorship Program, I effectively show my students exactly what I do in order to be a Wealth Creator, however, how they choose to use what I am showing them is completely their own decision and this is what makes it a mentorship program and not a coaching program.

If my students decide to do things which are not part of the program, they must be willing to accept responsibility for their actions and realize that they truly are the owner of the results which they receive, whether they are positive or negative, due to their own actions, if I were a coach, I would have immediately told them they are deviating from the coaching program and at the end of the day they would not have learned how to be accountable for their own decisions and actions.

So how does one then go about choosing the correct mentor so as to grow in whatever area of our lives it is that we feel we could improve on? Firstly, you need to know what it is which you wish to achieve by having a mentor, once you have been able to do this, you will need to start looking around for someone who possesses these qualities and whom you feel you could learn from.

Ideally this person or potential mentor should be someone who epitomizes your idea of success, has a positive attitude and is willing to openly share their knowledge in the area of your interests with you. If you are able to find such an individual, chances are you have found a potential mentor.

But how should one approach this potential mentor so as to convince them that you are serious about learning from their knowledge and that they would not be simply wasting their time by allowing you to feed of their knowledge?

Many times the person who has been qualified by you as a potential mentor will want to know why it is that they should share their knowledge with you, so it is often a good idea to have concrete reasons and plans in place so as to be able to show them you are serious about the whole thing and in this way you will be able to begin to establish a relationship of trust and your plans will show them exactly what it is which you want to give and receive from the relationship.

It is essential that you are very clear as to what it is you wish to learn right from the beginning and that your communication is as upfront as possible, in this way you can avoid disappointment and miscommunication which might occur if your mentor is not aware of exactly what it is you wish to achieve.

The secret to it all is the fact that a successful mentorship begins with you, once you have established a relationship with your mentor it is essential that you communicate your needs to them so as to let them clearly understand what direction they should lead you in so as for you to achieve your goals.

Very often the only thing which a good mentor will seek in return is your commitment and the reward of seeing you apply what you have learned in a way that will help you to achieve your goal, be sure that the mentor which you choose is willing to take your concerns earnestly and is willing to point you in the right direction so that you can become the best that you can possibly be in the area of your life which they are mentoring you in.

Always remember though, to actually reap the rewards of having an effective mentor, you will need to have commitment on your side to put in the required time, effort and investment so as to be able to actually pick the fruits of your labor, without this no mentor or for that matter coach in the world will be able to help you as you have not taken the time to invest in yourself so as to be the best that you can be.

Being assertive and confident are very valuable traits to have as the more assertive and confident you are in any situation, the more likely people will be to sit up and take notice. You will then be able to voice your opinion or let others know what it is that you need done by actually knowing yourself and what it is that you are capable of.

Confidence is a character trait which one develops when they believe in themselves and what it is that they are doing, so in order to develop this trait you truly need to know yourself and your capabilities. There are definite ways for anyone to be able to truly get to know and understand themselves, this is why I developed the Master Key Program, and once they are able to connect to who they really are it is self explanatory that confidence comes with it.

Being able to be both confident and assertive will greatly help you when it comes to job interviews or business deals as you will be able to let the person you are dealing with that you are in control of your life and are able to speak with authority on topics which you have studied and understand. It also gives of an air of you “are secure and know what you are doing” when you are speaking to the other person.

Here are a couple of tips which will help you to become more assertive and confident, apply them to your life and you will be sure to begin developing these skills so as to have a far more sought after attitude in the business world and in life in general.
  • Be sure to know the difference between assertive and aggressive – When people listen to you, you want it to be out of respect and not fear. There is a vast difference between an assertive person and a person who comes across as being aggressive.
Aggression will often come through due to harsh criticism and threatening statements, whereas assertiveness is far more likely to come across as a strong point of view but it is backed by ways by which improvements could be made and is never directly aimed at any individual.

Always try to approach those you are dealing with, with a positive attitude and possible solutions to the problems at hand. To be able to get your point across you need not adopt an aggressive attitude, rather opt for the far more amiable assertive and positive attitude.
  • Make your voice heard – Once again, please do not understand me incorrectly here, this does not mean you should walk around shouting at everyone, it simply means that you will need to speak with authority so as to portray an image of being assertive and confident.
So when you do talk be sure to speak clearly, at a normal pace and in an authoritive tone, this will make people think you know what you are talking about and are completely in control of what is going on around you.
  •  Don’t be shy – Many people may be in complete control of the situation at hand, but the fact that they are shy portrays an image of incompetence or not knowing what to say, this can be a very debilitating attribute to have in the business world and one which you will need to work on to be rid of.
There are many ways one can work on overcoming shyness and to actively practice things like visualization, speaking and mental exercises which encourage a positive mindset, will do wonders to help a shy person to get out of their shell.

When I first decided to start teaching people through means of my Property Pro Investment Seminars, I was very worried as to whether I would be able to do it, but then the Wealth Creator mentality kicked in and I knew it would be alright, I am now a few years down the line and believe it or not, I thrive on being up in front of a group of people and supplying them with dynamic knowledge which has the power to change their lives forever. You see, the more you face your fears, the less fearful they become.
  •  Invest in yourself – This as I teach all of my Alchemist Mentorship students is one of the vital laws which we need to obey so as to be able to succeed in life, take the time to learn what it is that you are talking about so as to be able to instill the confidence within yourself to be able to speak with authority.
If you know what you are talking about it is far easier to be confident and assertive as you have all the facts to back you up, far too many people want to invest in financial endeavors, businesses and all the rest but they forget to take the time to invest in themselves.
  • Look to those you admire and respect – If someone has earned your admiration and respect, chances are that they have learned how to be assertive and confident, by watching how they act, speak and their body language, you will soon be able to recognize the traits you need to work on so as to be like them.
Once you are able to master being assertive and confident, you will find that achieving your life goals becomes far easier, apply the Kaizen Principle to your efforts and take it one step at a time but be sure that your main aim is constant and never ending improvement and very soon you will have all it takes to be assertive and confident enough to get ahead in life.

Freeing Yourself from Fear

Fear is able to have two effects on our lives, you get rational fear which helps us to avoid sustaining serious injury and then you get irrational which limits our ability to grow and become the best we possibly can. It is this irrational fear which I believe we all need to be rid of to truly free ourselves so as to be able to become Wealth Creators.

What we need to be fully aware of is the fact that fear is nothing more than an emotion and for this reason we should be able to control it and be free of it if we know how to reprogram the subconscious mind so that the reactions which it sends to the body when confronted by the object or situation which causes the fear.

There are many very effective ways of actually changing the programming of the subconscious mind such as those I teach my Kaizen Wealth students which include various ways of being able to access the subconscious mind such as Powermorphing.

However for those of you who have not yet used this very powerful and informative course to find true freedom and a life of abundance in every aspect of your lives, here are a few simple steps which you might want to try in order to begin to overcome your irrational fears which are holding you back from being the best that you possibly can be.

1.    Identify your fear – To effectively be able to overcome something which you fear, you need to know its true nature. Once you are able to identify the cause of your fear, you must ask yourself “Can this thing which I fear actually hurt me?”

Once you are able to determine whether it is a rational or irrational fear, you will already be well on your way. If the fear is found to be irrational, then you are already beginning to realize subconsciously that there is actually nothing to fear as this object or situation can cause you no harm.

If you still feel that this might be a rational fear, then take the time to be honest with yourself and be sure that it is not the fear telling you this but is your decision based on fact. Take for instance the fear of going in an elevator, fear will tell you that it is a rational fear because the cable of the elevator might break and you could be harmed, however the fact of the matter is that the chances of this actually happening are almost zero.

2.    Look to others – Look around for others who have had the same fear as what you have, there always be a few, and try to find out what it is that they did to overcome their fear. As I always teach my Wealth Creators Mentorship students, there is no reason for you to try to reinvent the wheel. Take the time to learn from others so as not to have to make the same mistakes which they might have made.

3.    Face your fear – You can talk about and examine your fear all you want but unless you decide to become an action taker, you will achieve nothing. The only way to begin to overcome this fear is to actually face it, even if you choose to apply the Kaizen Principle and begin to face it one step at a time.

Let’s take the example of climbing in an elevator once again. Get someone you trust to go with you and take that first step towards facing your fears, simply climb into the elevator with them and then out again, the next time try to go up one floor and the next time two.

By doing this you will be taking small but significant steps towards achieving your goal and overcoming a fear which could be holding you back in life and restricting your growth and happiness as a person.

4.    Actively change your mindset – Become aware of the fact that it is incorrect programming of your subconscious mind which is bringing this fear into being and that you have the ability to change this programming so that it no longer affects you in this way.

Make a conscious decision to change this programming, the fear you experience grows every time you feed it more fear. Convince yourself this fear is irrational and use what ever means you have such as affirmations to undo this programming.

There are of course far more effective ways of gaining access to the subconscious mind and changing its programming such as those which I teach in my Master Key Course where I actually supply my students with mental exercises so that they can learn this ability and apply it to every aspect of their lives.

5.    The best defense is a strong offence – Force yourself to no longer hide from your fears, rather learn everything you can about your fear and its origins so as to be able to formulate a strong offensive against it . Understand your fear completely and soon you will come to realize that it actually is weak and has no power over you.

As the old saying goes, “There is nothing to fear but fear itself!” and the longer you allow these fears to restrict your quality of life you will never know freedom. Break the bonds

Enjoy Life by Being Able to Live Consciously

Have you ever taken the time to actually access whether you are living consciously? Have you ever considered the amazing benefits which are to be had by making the decision to begin living life consciously? Far too often we allow ourselves to live like ants and simply follow the same old routine every day without even giving it a second thought.

By doing this we are actually robbing ourselves of the joys of life and this in turn prevents us from meeting our full potential as we simply do the same old things over and over without sparing a single thought for what it is that we are doing and why.

I am a great believer in the Kaizen Principle which briefly summarized boils down to the fact that we should be constantly striving for never ending improvement and to be able to apply this principle to ones life is impossible unless we make the decision to live consciously.

To effectively live consciously, one needs to make yourself aware of what is actually going on around you and what it is that you are actually doing, by realizing what it is that is going on around you and what it is that you are doing, you become aware of your own capabilities and will become more driven to use these capabilities to their full potential and thus you will continue to grow.

I believe that unless we are growing, we are dying and personally I want to have no part in contributing to anything which means I am dying, so I make the decision to continually grow and thus bring myself closer to a life of abundance in every area or otherwise known as Kaizen Wealth.

Think about it for a moment, if you are consciously getting better and better every day, then in effect you are growing bit by bit every day and the more you manage to grow, the more fulfilled and happy you become and the easier it becomes for you to achieve your goals.

There are so many benefits to making the decision to live life consciously that one should really take a long hard look at making changes so as to be able to do this, it truly will change your life in every aspect.

Here are but a few of the benefits which you will enjoy:
  • It will broaden your vision – Conscious living will greatly broaden your vision in life and enable you to begin to understand where it is you are in life and where you would like to be. It gives one a sense of knowing what is going on in the world around you and where it is that you actually fit into the whole scenario.
  • It is a great stress reliever – Believe it or not, but being conscious of what is going on around you and what you are actually doing is a great stress reliever and stress is one thing we all want to limit in our lives, not only will we be happier with less stress, but far healthier too.
  • It teaches us about our importance – Once you are living consciously, you begin to understand your own role in the bigger picture and this will help you to live with purpose and do all that you can to the best of your ability so as to have the most impact on the things around you by the way you choose to act.
  • It helps us to live in the moment – You will find that you will be far more focused on your work and everything else which you do as you are living in the moment and focusing on a specific task in the moment and giving it your full attention.
  • It will improve your relationships – As you begin to live consciously, you begin to appreciate all that is around you far more and this includes the people in your life, as a result your relationships with your family and friends will greatly improve and strengthen.
  • It makes life far more fun – It is a proven fact that by living consciously and in the moment, life becomes far less stressed and far more fun as you begin to realize how your actions can make a difference in so many ways.
So if living consciously has so many benefits, how come so many of us get caught up in the drone of society and loose our ability to do so? It is because so many people have lost perspective and find comfort in conformity, but I believe this is not the mentality of a Wealth Creator and will never lead to your freedom. If you would like to once again begin to live life consciously, here are just a few tips:
  • Take time to STOP – Every now and again throughout your day, take the time to simply stop and observe, notice everything around you and what it is that you are doing. Truly just observe and understand that which is around you and what effect you have on what is happening around you.
  • Invest in yourself – As I always tell my Alchemist Mentorship students, take the time to invest in yourself, make it part of your daily routine to at least learn one new thing everyday, this way you can ensure that you are continually growing as a person.
  • Learn to breathe – Once in a while stop and breathe, but be aware of every breath which you take and the effects that breath has on your entire body, concentrate on nothing other than that breath.
This all might sound really simple, but you will be amazed at what a difference it will make in your life when you decide to live consciously. Why not give it a try and let me know how it changes your life when you actively begin living consciously.

Avoid Miscommunication through Active Listening

Miscommunication can really have a very negative effect on many areas of our lives, it is capable of causing stress in our relationships, business ventures, investment decisions and family bonds to name but a few. Being able to master the skill of being an active listener is an integral part of potentially becoming an effective Wealth Creator.

Many people will believe that they are listening effectively, but are they? Are you simply hearing what the other person is saying or are you actually employing active listening techniques?
We all, whether consciously or unconsciously, are aware at some degree as to when somebody is simply hearing what we are saying or whether they are truly listening to what we say. The feelings which we experience are once again directly related to this evaluation which we make, if somebody senses that they are talking to you but not truly being heard, the effect is often negative. However if they feel you are truly listening to what it is they have to say, it is easier to gain their respect and co-operation when you reply.

The art of active listening is an easy one to learn. Basically you need to begin by listening with intent and concentrating on what it is the other person is saying. Allowing the other person to speak without interruption allowing yourself the chance to absorb in entirety what it is they are trying to say. When they have finished speaking, repeat back to them what it is you understood that they were telling you.

The main goal of active listening is to avoid miscommunication in any situation.

You see there is far more to listening than simply keeping quiet and allowing the other person to speak, take the time to hear what it is that is being said and clarify anything which you might not understand or are not sure about.

If the topic which is to be discussed is important, be sure to find a suitable quiet location in which to have the conversation so as to avoid distractions or interruptions, make sure that you will be able to give the conversation your full focus and attention.

Here are a couple of ways which might help you to become a more active listener so as to avoid the stress and complications which miscommunication might cause in your day to day relationships and decisions.

1.    Always show respect to the speaker – Never try to predict what somebody is going to say even if you think you know them well enough to be able to do so. Rather give your full attention to what it is that they are saying verbally and nonverbally, watch their expressions, body language and posture so as to be able to get a clearer and more accurate idea of what it is that they are really telling you.

2.    Give the conversation your full attention – Focus your full attention on what it is which you are being told without letting your mind wander as to what you are going to reply, this way you will have a far more accurate and detailed idea of what you have been told when it come your turn to reply.

3.    Watch your attitude – Even if what is being said to you might not agree with what you believe to be true, keep your attitude in check and realize that you are not in an argument but rather a conversation and for this reason allow the other person to complete their side of the conversation and then reply in a calm and non aggressive tone so as to avoid things going the wrong way.

4.    Avoid mental distractions – While listening to the other person always be sure to consciously avoid allowing your mind to roam as to other things which you might still need to do for the day, allow this time for them to have your full attention without any mental distractions.

5.    Don’t allow personal opinion to change what you are being told – Don’t allow your personal opinions or preferences influence how you interpret what it is that you are being told, rather listen to the conversation in its entirety with a non bias stand point so as to be able to fully understand what is being said before you draw your conclusions at the end of the conversation.

6.    Clarify uncertainties - If you do not understand or unsure as to what it is the other person is trying to say, be sure to ask questions so as to avoid miscommunication or misinterpretations during the conversation, wait until the speaker pauses for the opportunity to pose these questions to them.

7.    Avoid jumping to conclusions – Always try to avoid jumping to conclusions as this is one of the main fuels for miscommunication. Rather find out the facts or ask questions so as to be able to get to the core and truth of it all.

8.    Be aware of your nonverbal communication – People pick up on nonverbal communication whether it is consciously or subconsciously, so be sure to maintain eye contact, use acknowledgements such as nodding and don’t be afraid to show subtle physical gestures such as touching their shoulder when it might be appropriate. Gestures such as these reassure the other person that you are actually listening to them.

9.    Last but not least, repeat your understanding of the conversation back to the other person – By doing this you will be showing them that you have fully taken in what it was that they were telling you and giving them the opportunity to correct you if you might have misunderstood any part of the conversation.

By following these simple techniques, you will be able to greatly improve your listening skills and those communicating with you will know that you understand them completely and that there is no room for miscommunication. You will soon realize the positive effects of being an active listener and how this skill is able to reduce stress and complications in both your home and business life.

10 Time Wasters that Rob you of Productivity

Posted by Hannes Dreyer

Why is it that so many people choose to allow their time to simply waste away? I as a Wealth Creator value my time very much and believe in using every second productively no matter what it is that I am doing. Time is one commodity which can not be replaced once it has been wasted and it is for this reason that I believe in using mine while I have it.

By allowing your time to waste away, you are effectively denying yourself a life of abundance which you could be enjoying if you were able to use this time productively. The fact of the matter is that many people have fallen into the habit of letting their time be wasted by a variety of things. Here is a list of 10 time wasters and if you find that these are some of the things which are eating away at your time then my advice to you as a Wealth Creator is that you should seriously consider changing some of these habits.
  1. Television – Television can be very relaxing and enjoyable, but unfortunately in our modern society it has become one of the biggest time wasters of all time. I am not saying that you should never watch television, but try not to let it dictate the schedule of your life by making you plan your day around what time your favorite shows are on. If there are more important things to do which will bring you closer to a life of abundance, then rather give the television a skip.
  1. Telephone calls – Telephones are an essential part of our modern communication strategy, but allowing your time to waste away spending excessive time simply chatting on the phone also robs us of a great deal of time which could have been used more productively. Try to keep calls restricted as to the time you spend on them and avoid taking social calls while you are trying to focus on the project at hand.
  1. Time wasting worry – Worry is another one of our big time wasters, if something is causing you to worry, go after it, make a plan to overcome it and remove the worry factor. Too many people will sit and worry about something to the point that they are unable to concentrate on anything else. I believe you should act in the true spirit of a Wealth Creator and take action so as to be able to remove the worry, this way it will eat up far less of your time.
  2. Essential planning – Much time is wasted because people are not working to a decisive and detailed plan. I teach my Alchemist Mentorship students that to become financially free and have a life of abundance, you need to be driven and have definite goals which you need to achieve to receive this life of abundance. Be sure to take the time to make a list of your goals for the day and address them according to their importance. Not having a set daily plan leaves us wasting much of our time trying to figure out what it is that we should actually be doing.
  1. Daydreaming – I am a great believer in having dreams so as to be able to bring them into reality, but when these dreams become daydreams because you are spending so much time dreaming that you forget to take action so as to bring them into reality, then you are wasting time and bringing yourself nothing but illusive dreams as you are breaking the Formula for Riches by not actually putting in the TEM$ so as to bring your dreams into reality. Have dreams but always be sure to take the action which will help to bring them into reality.
  1. Gaming – Now this has got to be one of the time wasters which is beginning to steal more and more of our time and there is an entire subculture allowing their time to be stolen in this way. No, there is nothing wrong with relaxing while playing a video game, but limit this time and do not allow yourself to fall prey to this time waster.
  1. Hobbies – Hobbies are a good thing, that is, until we allow them to get out of hand. There are many people who become obsessed with their hobbies and allow them to affect the time where they should actually have been productive. Schedule times for your hobbies and don’t allow them to interfere with what it is that you need to be doing so as to achieve your goals.
  1. Meetings – Meeting may well be an essential part of business life, but they can also be one of the biggest time wasters around. Very often meetings are held which have little or no effect on our business and are actually simply filled with useless bantering. Try to set time limits to your meetings and make sure that all participants stick to the agenda at hand, this way you will avoid wasting a lot of your time.
  1. Internet surfing – A lot of time is often wasted by people pointlessly surfing the internet. Yes, the internet can be a very powerful business tool, but it is the type of surfing which has no reason or purpose relating to your goals which can quite easily rob you of valuable time.
  1. Commuting – What with the roads getting busier and busier by the day, a lot of our time is wasted in traffic, try to make this time as productive as you possibly can. Try to perhaps do mental planning for your day or address issues and ways to solve them while you are traveling, this way your commuting time will not completely be a waste of time.
You should now be able to realize how easily we allow these types of time waster to have a negative effect on our productivity and by changing a couple of your own habits, you will find that very soon you will have far more time on your hands to concentrate on the things which actually count and will bring you closer to a life of financial freedom and being able to do more of the things that you want to do, rather than have to do.

Speed Reading to success

Think about it for a second, how much time to you take out of your day by reading documentation, emails and other written communication or information? You will be amazed at how conventional reading is able to eat away at your time, it is for this reason that speed reading is such a valuable talent to develop.
The secret here is to be able to effectively speed read without actually allowing this talent to deny or rob you of vital information or comprehension of what it is which you are reading. The secret lies within the ability to be able to fully comprehend and understand what it is that you are reading even though you might be doing it far faster than you normally would have been able to do.

Many people think that they are able to read quickly, but when you are able to effectively practice speed reading, you will be able to skim over a page of content and effectively pick out the important sections and actually have a far better retention of the information which you have absorbed.

Please do not be fooled, this is not a talent which you will master overnight, but the more regularly and intensely you practice it, the better you will become at it. This is very much the same as anything which you choose to learn in life, if you are willing to apply the Kaizen Principle and aim for constant and never ending improvement, you will continue to grow and become better and better at what it is you are applying the Kaizen Principle to.

Here are a couple of very effective techniques which will assist you in improving your speed reading skills:
  • Always keep record of your times – Be sure to begin to time yourself when it comes to the speed of your reading, by doing this you will have a baseline measure of your reading speed and the improvements which you make by applying your speed reading skills.
  • Make reading a regular practice – As the old saying goes, practice makes perfect and it is for this reason that you must work on your speed reading skills on a daily basis, even if it is only for a short period of time, but remain constant in your efforts to improve on a daily basis as the Kaizen Principle teaches us to do. A good idea is for you to focus on perhaps a chapter or two per day and then time yourself and test your information retention skills by paraphrasing what it is that you have read.
  • Apply the Kaizen to your speed of reading – Encourage yourself to improve your reading speed on a daily basis, effectively applying the Kaizen Principle to improve on a constant and never ending basis. Learn simple tricks such as being able to skip over common words such as to, from, the, and all the others which might take up unnecessary time. The human mind is an amazing tool and is able to absorb content without having to read or hear these common words which are there to make sentences grammatically correct.
  • Use your hands – By simply moving your hand down the page which you are reading, you will help to focus your eyes and attention on what it is that you are reading.
  • Don’t waste time on re-reading – The first time you read something, try not to get too caught up in the detail, rather skim over the content and retrieve all the valuable content which you can at a first glance, rather than allowing yourself to get caught up in the detail and trying to fully understand what it is that you are reading, you can always go back at a later stage if there is information which you feel might require further attention.
  • Avoid distractions – Surrounding noise or distractions will greatly impair your ability to speed read and it is for this reason that I would suggest that you find a quiet place to do your reading and when you know you will not be disturbed. Try to do this while you are trying to hone your speed reading skills and your efforts will definitely pay off.
  • Focus on effective and improved reading habits – Many people allow bad reading habits to slow down the pace at which they read. Make a conscious effort to stop things such as vocalization of words or moving your lips while you read and you will be amazed at the results which you achieve. Always try to keep your focus and concentration internalized, in other words, let your mind do the work, not your body.
  • Break your reading up into blocks – One should try to learn the skill of being able to break your reading up into blocks rather than trying to read word for word, rather strive to be able to understand what the author is saying by reading in blocks of information than actually following what they are saying word by word.
These are but a few of the ways by which you will dramatically be able to increase your reading speed and if you apply them correctly, you will soon be freeing up a lot of the time in your day which you would have spent reading.

As all or many of you should know by now, I choose to apply theFormula for Riches to every aspect of my life and this includes how I see the way you can use the skill of speed reading to obtain success. If you are willing to put in the TEM$ or time, energy, mindset and self investment into acquiring this highly useful skill, then before long you will be freeing up vast amounts of your time in the day so as to be able to concentrate on becoming a Wealth Creator so as to guarantee your financial freedom

When it comes to criticism there are two types, constructive criticism which is there to boost you and refine your abilities and skills and destructive criticism which is there for no other reason than to break you down and which serves no constructive purpose in your life.
How should you handle destructive criticism?

There are a few things in life which are unavoidable and receiving negative or destructive criticism is one of them, however as much as you might be aware that the criticism which you are receiving might be destructive, be sure to listen to it in any case and take whatever good you can out of it.

Destructive criticism is normally motivated by emotions such as envy, anger or self doubt, all of which are class 3 or 4 emotions which are not good for the person experiencing them, those around them or the greater good. However, you might want to inspect and analyze this type of criticism for any shreds of truth or hints as to where you can improve so as to become the best you can be.

Please do not understand me incorrectly, you should never take this type of criticism to heart or allow it to affect you negatively, rather take the time to hear what it is that the person is saying and see whether there is anything you can use to grow as a person, if there is not, then discard this criticism and allow it to flow as easily out of your life as it was allowed in, but be sure not to allow it to begin to throw you into a negative mindset.

Most of the time when people throw destructive criticism your way, you will find that their statements are not actually directed at what you are doing, but rather at you directly and these criticisms are based more on their own shortcomings rather than what you are doing wrong and are motivated by jealousy, ignorance and fear rather than what is in your own best interest.

This type of criticism will often come in the form of an attack on you personally and not on what you are doing, if this is the case, then nine times out of ten it is better to simply ignore this type of criticism as if you allow it to affect you, it will only be in a negative way.

What is constructive criticism?

Any form of criticism which has your best interests in mind can be considered to be constructive criticism. This form of criticism is meant to help you to become the best that you can be and is not motivated by negative influences as was the case with destructive criticism.

When you are able to see that the motivation of the person giving the criticism is actually motivated by what they feel could be in your own best interest, then it is often a good idea to actually listen to what it is which they are saying and to effectively draw out of their criticism that which you feel could be beneficial to you and what it is which you are trying to achieve.

Very often those around us will have different opinions on how we should go about achieving whatever it is which we are trying to do and if their criticism is given due to their genuine concern of your best interests, then you should really consider trying to extract what might be different but very helpful ideas out of what it is that they are telling you.

Say for instance someone in a superior position in your work environment offers you constructive criticism, don’t always feel that they are putting you down or trying to make you realize that they are better than you, rather take the time to listen to what it is that they are trying to tell you as they might just be trying to give you the ‘heads up’ so that you can avoid having to make the same mistakes which they have made in the past.

As I teach my Alchemist Mentorship Students, why try to reinvent the wheel if you are able to gain the knowledge from others as to how to do it so as to avoid having to make the same mistakes which they made before you. In the case of constructive criticism, rather take this advice as a stepping stone before you try to swim across a raging river, always be sure to be able to recognize this advice and accept it in the spirit in which it is being given.

Various types of constructive criticism

Being able to recognize constructive criticism is essential for you to be able to gain the value which it might have to offer. There are ways for you to be able to recognize this type of criticism so as to be able to make the most of it, here are a few examples.
  • The compliment sandwich – In this scenario you will receive a compliment, followed by them giving you a suggestion as to how you could improve and this is followed by another compliment.
  • By the way encouragement – In this situation the other party will encourage you by telling you that you that you are already doing a fine job so as to achieve your goals, but they will offer suggestions as to how you could possibly improve on whatever it is that you are already doing well.
  • The ‘thank you’ criticism – If someone starts their criticism of your performance or work by saying thank you, then the information which is coupled to this is usually in your best interest. They realize and appreciate the way you are getting things done but might have a bit of insight as to how you could be improving on your already good performance. In this case it is often that the person believes in you and wants you to be the best that you can be that they offer their constructive criticism.

Far too often we allow our own pride and ego to get in the way of being able to accept and use constructive criticism. By allowing this to happen we often miss out on vital tips and hints which would be able to greatly assist us in our goal of being able to be the best that we can be.

If you know that certain criticism of you is fueled with malicious intent and is being given for no other reason than to do you harm, then discard it. On the other hand however it can be very beneficial to listen to constructive criticism and learn from it whatever you can without allowing your own self esteem or ego to diminish the lesson which you might have learned if you were simply willing to listen.

If one truly wants to become a Wealth Creator, then it is in your best interest to be able to distinguish between destructive and constructive criticism and to be able to apply the knowledge or advice which you receive through constructive criticism.

Self Discipline, Effectively Being in Control of Yourself

One of the biggest investments which you can make in yourself is that of teaching yourself self discipline. If you have a good self discipline, you will find that you are able to get things done far more efficiently and with far greater effect.

This is one of the concepts which I teach my students on the Master Key Program very early on in the program as it is on this one fundamental ability to say “No” to yourself at the correct time that many success stories find their foundation. If you are able to determine what is detrimental to the greater good of yourself and those around you and go against it effectively by saying “No” to yourself, you will be taking a big step in the direction of a life of abundance and happiness.

The moment you are able to allow your own self disciple to work for you, the sooner you will start to become stronger, wiser and more efficient in everything which you choose to do. There are many benefits to making a concerted effort to become more self disciplined and some of them include:

  • You get more done – When one is self disciplined, you will be more effective at recognizing what is most important and giving it your primary focus, as I always teach my Wealth Creators Mentorship Students, disciple yourself into making a list of the most important things which you can do for the day so as to be able to realize your goals and focus your attention on them one by one in order of importance. This way, even if you only get one thing done for the day, at least you will know that it is the one thing which will have the greatest effect on helping you to achieve your goal.
  • You achieve goals and realize dreams easier – The realization of the goals and dreams which we have very often depends on us to put in extra effort, time, money or energy and a good self discipline helps us to stay on track as far as achieving these goals and dreams is concerned and often helps to keep us motivated and stops us from straying off the path to our dreams.
  • Improved focus – When one develops a better self discipline, it becomes easier for you to be able to remain focused on the important tasks at hand and to be able to give them your undivided attention without letting the smaller things around you steal and diminish your focus. The more focused you are, the easier it becomes for you to achieve the smaller but significant steps forward which will lead you to the attainment of your goals and dreams.

The sad part about it is that many people do not realize that their inability to become more self disciplined is not the fault of anyone else, but of their own subconscious mind, you see in the consumer age we have all become so used to allowing outside stimulations such as advertising, the media, the schooling system and any host of other outside influences to be the feeder of our subconscious and we have lost the ability to be the gatekeeper of our own minds.

It is for this reason that I went about developing products and courses such as the Master Key Course, the Alchemist Mentorship Course, Power Morphing and Warriors against Debt. All of these courses teach the student that you have to be able to prioritize, focus and be very careful as to what you allow into your subconscious as this is the gateway to your great inner power and a life of abundance, if you allow it to be used as a dumping ground, then truly all it will yield will be trash

When it comes to developing a decent level of self discipline, you need to once again be able to clean out the subconscious mind and replace all the trash you have allowed in over the years with only that which you feel will effectively be able to bring you closer to achieving your goals or dreams which will lead to a life of all round abundance and harmony.

The one main aspect to being able to develop very good self discipline is for you to realize that when you make a commitment to others, you need to keep it but when you make a commitment to yourself, you need to guard it with your life.

You effectively need to be able to respect every part of yourself and your being so as to have effective self discipline here are a few things which you may want to take to heart when trying to do so:

  • Respect your body – You need to be able to develop a keen sense as to what it is which your body is trying to tell you, it was created in a way which is far more intricate than most people seem to think and is constantly sending out signals to you when it feels something is not right. Consider using meditation or mental exercises such as those I provide my students on the Master Key Course so as to understand and pick up on these signals on a daily basis.
  • Invest in yourself – Take every opportunity to be sure to invest in yourself by constantly striving to fill your mind with positive and engaging information, at every possible stage try to keep negativity from entering into your mindset be it through the media, those around you, advertising or any other medium which is responsible for such negative programming.
  • Respect your health – Sayings such as a healthy mind and body did not come into being for no reason. The healthier your body is, the better the flow of energy and the energy is what feeds the mind and your overall energy levels which you need to be as productive and efficient as possible, it is essential for you to pay attention to eating healthy and getting the exercise which you need. Use this new found self discipline to get rid of negative and harmful habits such as overindulgence in caffeine, alcohol, fast foods and smoking.
  • Respect your time – Apply self discipline as to how you choose to use your time, time is a very precious commodity and once it has passed, it has passed and there is no getting it back. So be sure to be disciplined to allow time to feed all the needs of the different areas of your life and to use this time to the best possible effect that you can whether it be family time, work time or alone time, just be sure to make the most of every second and to be as effective as you can in the time allowed to each area of your life.

As you now well can see, no matter what your goals or dreams are, you will hardly ever reach them if you are not self disciplined in the ways you choose to go about achieving them. Self disciple is a vital tool no matter what it is you are trying to achieve.

Not many people understand that it is essential to find harmony between all the areas of your life so as to become wealthy. The fact of the matter is that should these areas not be in harmony with one another, we create an imbalance between ourselves and the Universal Laws which govern our success.

Not many people understand that it is essential to find harmony between all the areas of your life so as to become wealthy. The fact of the matter is that should these areas not be in harmony with one another, we create an imbalance between ourselves and the Universal Laws which govern our success.

As I teach my Kaizen Wealth and Alchemist Mentorship students, wealth actually means “well being” and to achieve this well being, we need to find ways to make the various areas of our lives compliment each other and to be able to achieve this they all need to be in harmony. So what are these areas which I am talking about?

Seven Main Areas of your Wheel of Life
  1. Vocational
  2. Financial
  3. Family
  4. Social
  5. Mental
  6. Physical
  7. Spiritual
The reason why I choose to use the word harmony rather than balance is that if something is balanced, it means that it is still and unmoving which is not what the Kaizen Principle teaches us is necessary so as to be able to grow and become better on a constant and never ending basis.

To be able to grow in this way, we need to improve on all areas of our life in small but significant ways on a constant basis and this is why if these areas of our life are in harmony, it simply means that while one area is growing, its growth is for the benefit of all the other areas and will help them to grow and be the best they can so as to complete the harmony.

Here are a couple of techniques which you might wish to try so as to be able to begin bringing harmony into your life in a way which will help you to find the harmony between all the seven areas of your Wheel of Life.

Techniques for achieving harmony in your life:
  • Starve the stress – Stress is one way we can be sure that the areas of our life are not in harmony as it is a natural indicator of things which are not flowing correctly in our lives. Determine what it is which is causing the stress in your life and find ways to minimize the effect which you allow it to have on you. By doing this you will be doing a great deal towards bringing your life back into harmony.
  • Make all areas of your life benefit from energy spent on any one area – It is impossible to spend the same amount of time each day on each area of your life, so be sure that the energy which you are spending the most on one area of your life will be sure to be harmonious and beneficial for the other areas as well. This however is no excuse to forget the other areas all together, always strive to make changes and do things in a way that meets the needs of all the areas of your life.

  • Become an action taker as to your goals and dreams – Make definite and detailed lists of your goals and dreams for all seven areas of your life and then make a point every day of doing at least one thing to bring you closer to achieving them, always do that one thing which you feel will be most effective first. The secret hear is to become an action taker and be sure to do at least that one thing, it is better to take one small action than no action what so ever.

  • Get the rest you need – Far too many of us let our rushed and stressed lives deprive us of vital rest. In order to be able to function effectively and productively, you need to get sufficient rest. The truth of the matter is that if you know how to do effective time management and goal planning, then there is no reason why you will have to try to squeeze in that last task for the day which is robbing you of your rest.

  • Make time for your spirit – So many people are running around trying to find the solutions that they forget about the source to the solutions of any problem which is their ability to connect their spirit with that of the Universal Spirit. So by denying yourself essential spiritual time, you are denying yourself the solutions and the harmony you require.
  • Be quiet – Make time where you will be able to connect with your inner or subconscious mind and to allow it to connect to the universal mind. Take a few minutes out of your busy schedule so as to just be quiet and listen by means of meditation, you will be amazed at how effective and powerful such quiet times can be and the overall effect they can have on the harmony which you have in your life. If you are not sure how to go about this, I have many mental exercises available in my Master Key Course.
The simple truth is that to find sustainable wealth and harmony in your life, there is no other way than to take action and start to focus your energy and attention on bringing about the changes necessary to result in growth and harmony within your own wheel of life. It is your responsibility and nobody else will be able to do it for you, the responsibility is all yours, so grasp it with open arms and let me know the difference you experience by doing so, believe me it is amazing.

This is the first official blog for Hannes Dreyer     and what an amazingly exciting place it is going to be! Please allow me to show you around and explain how the site will work and of what benefit it can be to you.

Here is a quick overview of the site so as to be able to help you find your way around.
As I said this is my first official blog and I plan to cram it full of information which will be able to have a very positive influence on the seven areas of your life which will be able to bring you into a life of wealth and abundance which you always dreamed of but never could quite figure out how to attain.
The seven areas which I am talking about would be those of vocational wealth, financial wealth, family wealth, social wealth, mental wealth, physical wealth and spiritual wealth.
Overall what I am talking about is what I like to call Kaizen Wealth.
But more about that later, please allow me to show you around.
How the page will work is actually very simple, on the right hand side you will see a list of categories, each of these categories will contain articles pertaining to that area. So for instance under family and home there will be articles pertaining to finding the balance between your career and personal life, in inspirational you will find articles regarding what motivates me and the way in which I use this motivation.
The mental section will be jam packed (in a couple of months time – because today we begin with a blank) with ideas on how to improve yourself mentally so as to be able to achieve your goals.
The personal and fun category will have all the stuff which I feel gives me personal abundance such as pictures of ways that my family and I have been able to experience an abundance of fun together by living the life of a Wealth Creator.
These categories will be updated round the clock so as to be able to add value for you and keep you up to date with my latest works and many years of information which I have managed to put together so as to be able to help those around me also be able to lead a life of abundance and happiness.
On the right hand side there is also a button which enables you to subscribe to my RSS feed which will keep you updated as to the happenings on the site and the updates which become available.
Then at the top of the screen you will see a menu item called Hannes Dreyer Group, this will link you to other amazing information such as that of Build-a-Web, which is a free course which will show you how to build a website with the greatest of ease and without costing you a fortune.
The Mentoring Course is also available there and in this course I take you on an amazing journey where I managed to make U$1,333,333.33 using less than U$133.33 to be able to achieve this goal, it truly is amazing.
By filling in the stay informed section of the sight you will be opting to get my newsletter which I will send out as often as I can which will normally be on the Friday of every week unless I have other obligations which need to be met.
If for any reason you would like to have a look at my portfolio, you will be able to do this by clicking on the Resume button at the top of the screen, here you will be able to have a glimpse at what I have done which has earned me the right to call myself a Wealth Creator.
I see great things ahead and a wealth of knowledge and insight which www.hannesdreyer.com will be able to offer, so I hope to see you around more often and that you will enjoy this site as much as I have enjoyed putting it together.
Please let me know what you like or dislike about the site, what else would you like to see or how can I help you more with this site?
I will appreciate your inputs.
