Budgeting is an essential and actually very easy process for any household but yet the vast majority of people simply neglect doing a monthly budget as it seems like too much work. Budgeting is an essential and actually very easy process for any household but yet the vast majority of people simply neglect doing a monthly budget as it seems like too much work. I personally believe that this is not the case and it is actually that most people are actually afraid of finding out their financial standing by doing a budget.

If more people were doing effective budgeting there would not be such vast amounts of credit being used in the world and the economy would be in a far better position, not to mention the fact that there would be a lot less homes experiencing problems which are caused or related to financial stress.

One of the things which I teach my students Debt Eradication Home Study DVD Course is that you should always be sure to be living in positive cash flow and whether this is for your business or for your home the principle stays exactly the same. If you are not cash flow positive you are definitely heading for disaster.

Now how on earth will you be able to know if you are cash flow positive if you have no budget worked out so as to be aware of your financial situation, simply ignoring the fact that you are getting further and further into debt is not going to make the problem go away and is definitely not going to help you to become financially free.

It is for this reason that I am telling you to take responsibility for your financial position and use the method I will give you now to get started on designing an effective budget right away.
  • Goal setting – Before you even begin to plan your budget, be sure to make a list of your financial goals so as to help motivate you and the family to stick to the budget which you workout so as to be able to achieve these goals. Make these goals available to all in the family to see on a regular basis so that you are all able to stay focused on where it is which you are headed financially.
  • Calculate the household income – Make a list of all the streams of income coming into the home every month and the amounts which each brings in. Remember to include all forms of income, whether they are in the form of salaries, interests earned, investments or even bonuses. Be sure to include every form of income what so ever on the list.
  • Calculate the household expenses – Make an accurate and complete list of every expense which the household has every month and list each expense separately and the amount which is needed to cover it. Remember to include daily expenses as well such as petrol, lunch, toll fees and any of the many other nominal expenses which you might have. Also remember to list your savings account as an expense which needs to be paid on a monthly basis.
  • Do the maths – Now all you need to do is to calculate where it is that you stand financially, add all your incomes together and then all of the expenses. Then subtract the expenses from the income and there before you, you will have the answer to where you stand financially.
  • If you are cash flow positive – If the result which you get shows that you have extra money available, in other words you are cash flow positive, then you can begin to decide how best to use this surplus so as to begin to achieve the goals which you have set for yourself. You might want to use it to pay of outstanding amounts on credit cards far quicker or to invest it so that it can grow.
  • If you are cash flow negative – If your expenses are more than the income then you are in a very financially dangerous position which is known as being cash flow negative. If this is the case it is time for you to start making a couple of difficult but very necessary decisions as to how to remedy the problem.
You might want to consider steps such as scaling down on housing costs and getting a cheaper place to live, getting rid of unnecessary vehicles, stop all spending on credit cards or even just simply eating out less. All of these are difficult decisions but need to be made if you want to avoid an avalanche of debt and get back to being cash flow positive.

In my Debt Eradication Home Study DVD Course I continually emphasize to my students the vital importance of making sure that you remain cash flow positive so as to be successful and be able to achieve your financial goals. The secret to becoming financially free is not to work harder for your money, but to let your money work harder for you.

Many people avoid responsibility for their financial state by allowing themselves to believe myths such as you need money to make money and in fact they allow this to become their excuse for their financial failures. I have however proven that these myths are nothing more than shields or excuses people use when they neglect to take responsibility for the results which they get in life.

Using the Formula for Riches, the Kaizen Principle and my knowledge as a Wealth Creator I have been able to dispel all of these types of myths and prove that there is a definite formula for becoming rich and you do not need vast amounts of money or knowledge to be able to apply this formula.

So my advice is for you to work out your budget immediately and to take responsibility for where you stand financially and start to let your money work for you so that you truly can enjoy the life of abundance which you have always dreamed of. I ask you one thing, would it not be great to take financial stress out of your life and to truly be financially free?
